Volunteer Opportunities

Take me to the Interns descriptions!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Tree House Books! Please fill out the form below if you are interested in volunteering with Tree House Books. A description of each volunteer opportunity is below. Please be sure to indicate all of your interests and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Please note that all Tree House Books Volunteers must have the updated clearances necessary to work with children (Child Abuse, Criminal Background Check). If you need further support with your clearances, click here for a step by step guide to what you need.

Important! Our spots for high school volunteers are very limited, if you are a high school student who lives in the neighborhood and would like to volunteer, please stop by the store and talk to Emma directly.

Volunteer Librarian: [Monday-Friday 10-6, Saturday 10-3] Work in our volunteer-staffed giving library by organizing, inventorying, and packaging book donations. Regularly interact with people of our community and help them find books and suggest them too! Become a part of thousands of books going out into the community!

Traveling Tree House Volunteer: [Please inquire about times] Ride around with our Community Book Distributor in our beloved bookmobile, to weekly sites and events. Help check out books, organize the shelves, and engage with the visitors.

After School Helpers: [Monday-Friday 3-6] Support our after-school Lead Teacher Shakira King and Literacy Programming centered around a variety of diverse topics such as poetry, yoga, art, drama. Work with students to independently read, write, and participate in thoughtful and exciting activities and projects.
